Colors of Light

This is the name of a CD that was made based off the pictures painted by Thomas Kinkade. He is my FAVORITE painter of all times. Oh yeah, I am also a small artist, I paint pictures for my family and stuff. He is my favorite painter because he has a way of bringing out the beauty and cosiness of life in great detail. The pictures that he paints are so beautiful and seem to have a purpose, I would LOVE to have his ability.

Well, I got this CD for Christmas last year and I LOVE it. The composer is Robert Mathes, I haven’t ever heard of him before. Sorry. And the singer is Michelle Tumes, and I have heard of her. She has got a voice like an angel! So what they did was take some of Thomas’s best paintings and wrote or played an all ready written song to betray the mood of that painting. They don’t all have singing, but they are excellent still. My favorite one is called “Anchored in the Ground”. The picture is of a little weathered cottage built into a green slope leading down toward a shining lake. There are green hills in the back round and lots of snug little cottages all around. The picture is of Ireland, a country very dear to my heart. I want to go there more than anywhere else in the world. The music is and Irish folk melody, folk music is my favorite, and has a very stirring sound. There are lots of violins, I play violin myself, and lots of flutes. I just love it! I have Irish ancestry, so that helps. I enjoy this beautiful music and hope you do too!

Thomas Kinkade is absolutely amazing! I love his paintigs. My favorite (so far) is either Moonlight Cottage or Forest Chapel. You need to look this guy up if you haven’t heard of him!

You are more then just a “small painter.” You are an amazing painter! Any way the CD sounds so pretty! I too love Irish music and those rolling emerald green hills make my sigh at the beauty that our Lord God has created.

I know, it’s just gorgeous. Of course, us having Irish blood helps doesn’t it?
