Jack Davenport had a happy childhood with his adoptive parents, but now that they are gone, he wants to know about his real family. Meanwhile his journalistic ramblings have taken their toll on his wife, Megan, who is struggling with her husband’s workload, and getting up the nerve to tell him of their baby. When Jack opens a safety deposit box that contains property of his late adoptive father, he comes across an old photo of a church in the little town of Clearwater Texas. Jack travels to the small town of Clearwater just a few days before Christmas, and his 40th birthday, which is Christmas Eve. He notices a beautifully carved nativity scene that sits right outside the church in he photo. Jack becomes interested and digs into it’s past, which leads him to learn more about his own. Starring Steven Curtis Chapman as “Reverend Curtis”, and Megan Follows as “Megan Davenport”. Christmas Child is not a movie to be missed, and I would define it as a classic!
