Derrick Spence is a brilliant twelve-year-old Little Leaguer with a killer arm. Next year he will be to old to play. But he and his dad, Tripp Spence, have more serious problems. A little rearranging of the tax books have put the IRS’s fellas on Tripp’s tail. Desperate to stay out of jail for his son’s sake Tripp changes their names and appearances. They head out West to start a new, but dishonest life. Derrick Spence, now Michael Jacob Ryan, or “Mickey”, is supposedly one year younger than he actually is. Now he can join a team for one more year of Little League. But bad choices lead to a downfall and your conscience eating you alive. Derrick and his dad must decide to do what is right, no matter what happens.

This was a good movie. A few details that I would rearrange, but oh well.
