You saw and example of what my older brother does when he is bored, yeah, the homemade dynamite. But don’t worry, he isn’t turning into a terrorist. Actually, most of his spare time, and he doesn’t have much, is spent in building websites or designing for logo contests, and he has won several.

But this is an example of my younger brothers’ genius. My older brother LOVED Legos when he was younger, and he was REALLY good at them. So was my dad. But my younger two brothers astound me constantly with their vivid imaginations and life like creations.

My middle brother found the Lego website, and he was hooked! On the website they have games, and little advertising movies for their products. Basically they animate a little movie with a story to get kids all excited about the product and it makes them want to buy it.

My brothers found something called, “Power Miners”. The basic story line is that there have been mysterious rumblings underneath the ground, and it is effecting the earth’s crust. So the Power Miners team was assembled and sent to go underground and figure everything out. They went under with all of their fancy high end equipment to find the problem. When they were down under the ground they found a huge cavern, with lots of shining crystals. But they also found LAVA MONSTERS! These lava monsters eat the valuable crystals and it gives them a huge energy boost. Then they wreak all kinds of havoc! The Power Miners must keep the monsters from eating the crystals, and destroying the earth’s crust, before time runs out!

My brothers were mesmerized! Until they saw the prices of the sets. Then they were depressed. But not for long, they started watching the videos over and over looking at all of the machines and how they were designed. Then they went outside and (with mom’s permission, she is a very cool mom) brought in just about every rock in sight! They washed them in the bathtub, then built a Power Miners cavern. They had me draw lava monster faces on little rocks, and them they built the machines.

I WAS SHOCKED! I have seen these little videos (they are actually really cool) and my little brothers’ machines look EXACTLY LIKE THEM! And all they did was build them from memory with the Legos they had. Here are some pictures of this mysterious underground cavern, the Power Miners, their equipment, the box containing the crystals, and the mysterious and deadly lava monsters that inhabit this dark interior!

The underground cavern, it seems to be the birthplace of the dangerous rumblings. What could be underneath these rocks? None of the Power Miners know.

We broke through!

Sorry that there aren’t more pictures. Our camera isn’t working to well. But the Power Miners have now broken through the cavern wall. What is waiting for them? Tune in later to find out!
