Aloha, I am the Princess Leilani of Hawaii. My father is the Great King Kamehameha.
My palace is of beautiful marble with bright animal and plant mosaics hewn into the shining walls.
My room is beautiful, painted yellow with a sea blue bedspread and pearl beaded edging. My couches are crimson cushions with gold embroidery. My curtains are white with rainbow ribbons, and I have flowers everywhere.
Outside on my veranda I have a bird house. My little friends wake me in the morning with their sweet birdie chorus. My favorite bird is Kalani, he is the elepaio bird.
I am tall and have sparkling and mischievous brown eyes. I have largish hands, but I used them for many purposes, and I am content. My hair is long, curling, and thick. I put fresh flowers in each morning as they open to the rising sun.
My favorite dress is my sunshine yellow one, I always put on a purple lei whenever I wear that. Purple and yellow together are my favorite color combination.
I have two other favorite dresses, one is sea blue with white sea stones, the other is gold with blue sea stones, but yellow is my favorite.
I, the Princess Leilani am now the perfect princess. My home is beautiful and I am beautiful, but something is amiss in my bright kingdom, is it marauders? An unwanted suitor? Evil advisors? Revolution? A bad cook?
Find out, in my upcoming tale, the… the… well, I don’t know if it is named yet.
“Yes girls, I have fallen in love with our beautiful Princess Leilani. But in order for my Hawaiian tale to be complete, I need to do some research. So until then we will have to bide our time in reading about the Cunning Count. Aloha!”
