Summer’s End

Ah well. Here we are, just about the end of summer.

Some have already started school, I haven’t yet, but I will within the next 2 weeks. Orchestra starts next Friday, YIKES! And that means I have to audition, faint. I don’t like auditioning to put it plainly.

But other than that and a few other difficulties, like theory class, and some of the cliquey girls that get on your nerves, I LOVE orchestra. I love playing the violin, and I love choir. Plus I get to see friends, and a lot of other neat things. Oh yeah, and the concerts! WOOPEE!

Some may feel sad at summer’s end. I might be in the slightest way, but mostly I am looking forward to autumn. I don’t like the heat, neither do the rest of my family. In fact, if it weren’t for the fact that all of our friends and family, and daddy’s job was here, we would move north somewhere.

I am looking forward to starting my pumpkin pie season again. Mama and Daddy especially love my pumpkin pie. And with homemade crust from great-grandma’s cookbook, it is pretty good if I do say so myself.

I am attempting to crochet a blanket. To be honest, that is like the idea of going around the world in 80 days. Next to impossible is how it feels! Just row after row, after row, and so forth. I was hoping to have it done before this winter, so I started in the summer. Not going to happen my friend.

I get to start riding lessons again week after next. I am so thrilled! I have missed the friendly ride up with my friends, my horse Chris, the feel of the tack, and riding. I have been dreaming frequently about them. In fact, I just had a dream about them last night! And that is like the 4th or 5th dream.

I am looking forward to the new challenges this year. This is my last year of middle school, then I become a freshmen in high school. I am SO looking forward to the day when I am done with school.

I am looking forward to a lot of things obviously.  But I am also looking back on stuff. Such as truths that I have learned through the Bible and through the Lord teaching me. I feel like He has given me opportunities to share things that I have learned, and give encouragement to some people lately. I feel like He has guided my tongue, and that is something that I am so grateful for. I haven’t always been the best at not speaking to much, judging to much, being to critical. But I feel like I am learning a ton!

Our air is still not fixed. Oh well. Mama says we probably won’t have any for the rest of the year.

Oh boy, don’t you ever wish you could get rich over night? I tell you what we would do. We would pay off all of our debt, buy a camper, get season passes to Silver Dollar City, and travel up north. The last time we went on family vacation was when I was 3! So the younger kids still don’t know what that feels like.

Well, so long. Adios. Bon Voyage. Bye bye summer! HELLO AUTUMN, coming soon, to theaters. ;p
